Coffee Enema Kit
Did you know that coffee enemas are a great addition to any detox program and can help increase liver detoxification, increase energy, aid in weight loss, and improve bowel function? While talking about enemas and anything regarding the bowels can be awkward and uncomfortable, when you are struggling with chronic health issues, sometimes trying things outside the box can make a difference in average recovery and great recovery.
Coffee enemas were first mention by the Egyptians in 1550 BC. In fact, enemas have been used in medicine for thousands of years to help support the colon. During WWI, there were shortages in pain medication. They found that administering coffee enemas reduced the soldier's pain and it become a common practice.
Reasons to try a coffee enema:
- Coffee enemas help activate the vagus nerve
- They increase glutathione by 600-700%, a vital detox antioxidant
- Coffee enemas can help decrease pain
- They can also help increase bile flow, open up bile ducts and thus help with liver detoxification
- Reduction in inflammation
- Improved digestion

Coffee Enema Instructions
- Bring 3 cups of distilled water and 3 tablespoons of organic coffee (Kion or Purity coffee) grounds to boil. Turn off heat and leave for 15 minutes with lid on top of pot.
- Pour coffee into French press and if desired, add 1 tablespoon of organic blackstrap molasses. The molasses will help you retain the enema easier.
- Let the coffee cool. You will want it at body or room temperature. You can put in the refrigerator to help it cool down faster or put the french press in an ice bath, checking frequently to make sure it doesn't cool off too much.
- Pour the coffee solution into your enema bucket or bag (I recommend the bucket). Make sure the tubing is clamped prior to adding the liquid coffee.
- Additional ingredients you can add to enhance the enema solution:
- Organic Tangerine Oil to increase bile flow 3-8 drops
- BodyBio E-lyte (can buy on Fullscript link above) to ensure you do not lose electrolytes during the enema process
- Cellcore's CT Minerals - one capsule
- Cellcore's Hydroxygen or Liquid Oxygen 1-5 drops
- If struggling with constipation, you can add one capsule of BodyBio's Sodium Butyrate
- Place old towels on floor and lie down on your left side with your knees slightly bent.
- Apply coconut oil to the end of the enema hose tip. Gently insert about 6 increase into the rectum.
- Unclamp the hose and slowly let the solution in. If you feel full, do not insert all the liquid.
- Rollover on right side and hold the solution for 12-18 minutes. If you are a beginner, you may only be able to hold for 5-8 minutes initially.
- Gently release into the toilet.
- Clean out tubing with castile soap and hot water. Rinse until all the soap is gone. Then use hydrogen peroxide to clean the tubing but letting it run through, clamping, and allow to sit in tubing for at least 4 hours to sterilize.
- It's best to do coffee enemas after you have already had a bowel movement for the day. As it can make you have more energy, it is not recommended to do an enema in the late afternoon or evening.
